Melaka, September 2025 – Birkin International Hotel has officially received Halal certification for its Birkin Kitchen from the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM), marking a significant milestone for the property.
The certification confirms that Birkin Kitchen complies with national Halal standards in ingredient sourcing, preparation, and operational practices. It reflects the hotel’s commitment to ensuring safety, authenticity and inclusivity in its food and beverage operations.
Halal Executive Ms. Fatin Izzati stated that the certification is the result of years of structured effort: “From sourcing local Halal supplies to maintaining strict compliance, our Halal Committee has worked tirelessly to ensure every requirement was met. This certification is not a new practice for us, but an official recognition that Birkin Kitchen has always upheld Halal standards.”
The process was completed with the support of hotel management, the Internal Halal Committee, and guidance from JAIM and JAKIM. The certification provides assurance to guests, particularly Muslim travellers, that dining at Birkin Kitchen meets the highest recognised standards of compliance.
